About

Tax preparation and wealth management for aviation professionals.

Pilot Tax Guy is the online home of Wood-Rhoden Tax Service, a family tax and accounting practice founded in 1997 and led by Patricia “Pati” Wood-Rhoden, an Enrolled Agent licensed by the IRS. The practice prepares income tax returns and builds year-round tax plans for professional pilots, flight attendants, and the families who depend on them, with additional experience serving public-safety officers, educators, and small-business owners.

Our work covers the full cycle: accurate income tax preparation, forward-looking tax planning, bookkeeping and payroll for small businesses, IRS representation and audit defense, tax resolution for clients who have fallen behind, and wills, trusts, and estate planning through our in-house attorney. We understand the parts of a pilot’s financial life that generic software misses — per diem and travel deductions, multi-state and multi-base filings, and airline retirement and equity income.

Appointments are free and year-round, held virtually or face-to-face near KLAX, with Zoom available around the clock for crew on an overnight. Se habla español.
